My Trip To Mexico

I had the opportunity to go to Ensenada,(Baja, California) Mexico State this week with a group from my church and it was one of the best trips I have been on in a long time. We went there to work on our property (because we own a church down there) and not only did we accomplish what needed to be done, but we also got to explore a little bit of the culture. We did a little bit of shopping and went to the beach. We were able to watch a blowhole, which I have always wanted to see (if you dont know what that is here is a link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blowhole_(geology). The water, as well as the weather, were perfect. We ate some delicous fish tacos too.
The drive on the way up was very intesterting. I rode up with some people that I dont normally talk to at church and because we all got up some time in the A.M. we were all delirious and tired and were talking about some random things. On the way home, I rode in a different car, and if we werent sleeping we were laughing our heads off about some really funny events.
Crossing the boarder was interesting as well. You can definatley tell that fine line between the US and Mexico. It makes me very thankful that I live here, though I would never turn down a trip to go back there. Over there, they are poor, which is really sad. Their animals are skinny (specifically thinking of their horses) and most of the dogs just roam the street. The neat thing about buying things over there, is that it is soo cheap. And most people only buy the necessities there, which makes living here very luxurious. They have some very cool looking plants there too. There buildings are bright colors as well, and it looks like they can just live anywhere. There is not really a structure of where to park their trailers or build their homes, like there is here in the US.
Some funny things that happened to me while we were there is when we were all at the blowhole a seagull came took a churros right out of my hand. It was soo funny, cause then everyone else started to try to get the seagulls to take some of their food. The sad thing was, IT WAS MY LAST BITE of that delicous food!! The other thing that was hilarious is half of the group that came on this trip went to bed a little earlier then the other half. The half that stayed up made a person out of a mop. They put a coat and a hat on "him" and then they lifted him through my room's window! I normally dont scream or for that matter get scared, but I did this time! It was quite funny! Then they put this mop head dude in our chaperon's window. They flipped out!! We just had to pictures.
Well, that is the excitement that I had this week. And hopefully I will be able to post some pictures soon. (If I dont forget!) Hopefully you enjoyed my first blog. Be patient, cause I have never done this before. Thank you!
